New Horizons Concert Series: Del Sol String Quartet
Based in San Francisco the award winning Del Sol String Quartet is a leading force in 21st century chamber music specializing in sharing the music of living composers. This program journeys through the diverse languages of influential American composers- Terry Riley's looping grooves grown from Indian raga music; Ruthg Crawford Seeger's radically experimental processes; Ben Johnston's just intonation Americana; and Gabriela Lena Frank's exploration of Peruvian traditions.
