Musco Center Presents
Anaïs, A Dance Opera
Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 7:30 pm
Directed and Choreographed by Janet Roston Music and Lyrics Composed by Cindy Shapiro
This genre-busting and sensuous production illuminates a journey that took famed diarist and literary figure Anaïs Nin through the café society of 1930s Paris, into the arms of novelist Henry Miller in a decades-long affair, and all the way to postwar America. Contemporary dance, sung narrative, and rich video images defy convention, just as Anaïs Nin did.
