Chapman Guitar Ensemble
Jeffrey Cogan, Director
Under the direction of Professor Jeffrey Cogan, the Guitar Program at Chapman University has flourished since its inception in 1982. Guitarists performing as soloists and in ensembles have opportunities to perform in concerts, classes at Chapman and on tour. In March 2009, the Chapman Guitar Quartet won 1st Place Awards (Best Quartet & Best Duo) at the University of Texas at Brownsville with Texas Southmost College Guitar Ensemble Festival and Competition.
About Jeffrey Cogan: While still a student at California State University at Northridge, Jeffrey Cogan, M.A., was honored by being invited to perform for the great Spanish Maestro of the guitar, Andres Segovia. After finishing his studies, he built a career in performing and teaching the guitar at CSUN and at Chapman University. Learn more...
