Opera Chapman presents
"Gems of the Bel Canto Era"
Friday, October 18, 2013

Peter Atherton, Artistic Director
Carol Neblett & David Alt, Associate Directors

In the early 19th century Italian opera was dominated by three immensely talented and popular composers:  Bellini, Donizetti, and Rossini.  These men knew exactly what their audiences wanted to hear and delivered it in abundance.  Gems of the Bel Canto Era will feature scenes, arias and duets from Bellini’s Il Pirata, La Sonnambula and Norma, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Pasquale and I Puritani, and Rossini’s La Cenerentola.

Don’t miss this exquisite music performance by the opera stars of tomorrow!
